| The most important part of the Broken Road Rescue mission is to help save animals and place them in responsible, loving, forever homes. To do this we ask for references including a veterinary reference. Among the things we confirm with the veterinarian is that the potential adopter has kept their pet’s immunizations and preventative care current. This demonstrates responsible pet ownership and a commitment to the health and welfare of animals. If an adoption applicant has not kept their pet current on preventative care their adoption application will be rejected. We assume our applicants understand this policy and will not be offended when Broken Road Rescue calls their veterinarian. The potential adopter should contact their veterinarian first and check to see if all records are current and alert the vet that an adoption application is pending and to anticipate a call from a Broken Road Rescue representative. Broken Road Rescue believes that those who demonstrate their exceptional love and care by being responsible pet owners are special people we can trust to give the right home to our precious creatures. |
